When Samira, soon to be wed, reached out for assistance on her nuptials, she had few fixed ideas but was sure of one thing: the event had to have an international flair. She was spot on.

The guest list for Samira and Nicolai’s ceremony read like a global roll call, with attendees hailing from the Emirates to China and across the continents from Sweden to the United States, not to mention Iran, the UK, Germany, Oman, Spain, and beyond. This global assemblage was befitting for a couple whose backgrounds are as worldly as their romance—a bride with Iranian roots, raised in Sweden, living in Dubai, and a groom with a rich tapestry of Chinese-Brazilian-Swedish heritage, also residing in Dubai. Both are among the most persistent and intelligent individuals I’ve encountered.

The planning centred on the guest experience, from a curated selection of caterers and musical ambience to the most enchanting location in Tuscany—the Antica Fattoria di Paterno. With its Persian rugs, opulent decor, and stunning views over Chianti, it was a dream come true for Samira.

This complex event featured three distinct ceremonies: a religious blessing, a traditional Chinese tea ritual, and the visually stunning Sofreh Aghd Persian ceremony, each accompanied by its unique musical score seamlessly orchestrated by a talented DJ.

Dinner unfolded in the venue’s secluded garden, arranged around a grand E-shaped table adorned with elegant silver candelabras and a mix of sophisticated and rustic floral arrangements. True to Swedish custom, the evening was punctuated by numerous heartfelt speeches—27 in all—and the feast was flawlessly delivered by the head chef, adhering to our carefully crafted schedule.

As night fell, the celebration reached new heights with an American bar on the main terrace while a mix of Iranian and Eastern tunes lingered in the air, setting the stage for a night of revelry under the stars.
